This one-day event will bring together a range of speakers to share their experiences working on different heritage engagement projects across Scotland. We will reflect upon activities undertaken during the Year of Young People (2018) and explore how best to support young people’s interest in the past as they become the heritage caretakers of the future.
The keynote address will be given by Dr Jeff Sanders who has delivered high-profile projects for the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, including the successful Dig It! engagement programme since 2015. Other speakers include Khaleda Noon (Action for Children’s Heritage & Inclusion programme), Fiona Watson (Scotland’s Urban Past), Amy Calder, (YouthLink Scotland, YoungWummin project), David Maclehose (Perth Civic Trust), and Graham Ross (Austin Smith:Lord).
