At the Scottish Civic Trust, we are monitoring the coronavirus situation very closely. Nothing is more important to us than the health and wellbeing of our community and our staff, so we wanted to provide an update on our response to COVID-19.
As of 5pm on Wednesday 18th March, Scottish Civic Trust’s office (Tobacco Merchant’s House, 42 Miller Street, Glasgow G1 1DT) will be closed until further notice.
We have decided to cancel or postpone all events due to run through the end of April. Further updates on specific events, like the My Place ceremony and exhibition, will follow. Scottish Civic Trust staff are in the process of contacting My Place Awards and My Place Photography Competition entrants individually.
Scottish Civic Trust staff will be working from home during this period, from where we will be focussing on developing our digital presence through our website and social media channels.
You can follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, where we’ll have regular posts highlighting digital resources relevant to the heritage and built environment sectors. We’ve already shared our interactive Digital Doors Open map that includes 40+ virtual tours of sites across Scotland, to the delight of 60,000+ people across our social media channels! Take a look and find out what all the fuss is about.
We are also working to develop further opportunities for online learning and engagement. And of course you are still able and welcome to contact any of us via email to assist with your needs.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will update this post with any changes. We thank everyone for their support during these adjustments. We wish you and yours continued wellbeing and good health.
With best wishes,
Susan and the rest of the SCT team
