Historic Aberdeen baths to host open weekend

Bon Accord Baths, a historic Category B-Listed Art Deco building, will welcome the public on the 12th and 13th of June between 10am and 4pm.  Visitors will be able to view the impressive pool hall as well as visit some of the lesser known spaces, including the private bathing area. There will also be an exhibition on the history of the site and the campaign to save the building.

Bon Accord Heritage, the registered charity who oversee the baths, aim to restore and reopen the building for use, thereby benefitting the local community, attracting visitors and contributing to the regeneration of the area. Bon Accord Heritage have been awarded a temporary lease of the building by Aberdeen City Council to take forward their project.

Scottish Civic Trust is proud to support the campaign to save the Bon Accord Baths through our My Place Mentoring programme, which helps community groups across Scotland to develop the skills, knowledge and capacity needed to get their heritage projects off the ground. Our My Place Mentoring Officer is working with Bon Accord Heritage to build their capacity as a board, strengthen their business planning, engage the community and increase their fundraising efforts.
