About the Scottish Civic Trust
The Scottish Civic Trust is the national voice for grassroots heritage, civic and community groups. We advocate at local and national levels to preserve cultural and built heritage, working in partnership with local community organisations to celebrate place and identity. We work with planning authorities to protect listed buildings and conservation areas, preserving the unique character of Scotland’s communities while working to champion urban design to enhance wellbeing. We work to empower everyone, including marginalised groups, to share their heritage through our Diverse Heritage programme. We also celebrate our shared places and stories by working with schools, youth groups and community organisations through our My Place programme as well as leading on the National Doors Open Days Festival, the largest free festival in Scotland.
What to expect
