Grassroots Heritage Activists to Get New Support
Local activists are to be given help to save buildings they love in our pioneering mentoring scheme, My Place Mentoring.
The scheme will give local groups free access to experts and other means of support in a bid to make sure that heritage projects serve the whole country and not just those who can afford access to expertise.
Many groups struggle to develop the knowledge they need to effectively bring about local regeneration, and will benefit from the programme of expert advice and support on offer. The priority will be helping groups who traditionally experience difficulties accessing support for their heritage projects due to their remote location or because they serve areas of economic disadvantage.
Groups can ask for between 8-20 days of support, tailored specifically to their needs.
Applications for mentoring in 2019 are now open.
