Friends of Haughton Park join our My Place Mentoring programme

We are delighted to welcome The Friends of Haughton Park to the Scottish Civic Trust’s My Place Mentoring programme!

The community group is working hard to install a bike pump track and biking skills area for all abilities at Haughton Country Park for the benefit of locals and visitors. The installation of the track and skills area is subject to achieving a successful Community Asset Transfer from Aberdeenshire Council, and raising the funding for its construction.

Scottish Civic Trust is proud to support the Friends of Haughton Park through our My Place Mentoring programme, which supports community groups across Scotland to develop the skills, knowledge and capacity needed to get their heritage projects off the ground. Our My Place Mentoring Officer will be helping the Friends of Haughton Park with fundraising, community engagement, social media channels, volunteer recruitment, business planning and increasing their connections with stakeholders.
